AIA San Joaquin 2017 Sandcastle Competition Results!

Congratulations to all of our teams for a great competition and another wonderful sandcastle event! Thank you to our Judges and our Volunteer Board members who managed the People’s Choice balloting. And the winners are: The Judges Award:  TETER Architects & Engineers People’s Choice Award:  TETER Architects & Engineers COS, Team 2 Mr. Porters Class gave TETER a run.  They were shy of four points.   Video of competition day:   COS Team 1 Rolando COS Team 2 Porter FCC Team 1 FCC Team 1 Darden TETER

AIA San Joaquin Design Competition and Awards 2017

  This year’s Student Design Competition was a huge success!  Opening the event was a Firm Round table and resume workshop.  In addition to the Design Competition winners, our participating local colleges also handed out their student scholarships, which made for a wonderful evening celebrating our local valley students. Olive Avenue Construction 2017

Please make note of the road closure on Olive Ave. between Fresno St. and Highway 41. Construction will be ongoing for the coming 6-8 weeks.  Please plan your visit to our office or events accordingly.  We recommend you use Hammond Ave. to  enter our facility from Mariposa St.  Thank you for your patience while construction is underway.


AIA San Joaquin Sandcastle Competition Results!!

2017 AIACC Council Awards

September 1 – Call for Nominations 2017 AIACC Council Awards The AIACC Council Awards are the highest achievement awards bestowed on a group or individual. The Council Awards include the Firm Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Distinguished Practice Award. The Council Awards are reviewed by the Council Awards Committee, and finalists are recommended to the AIACC Board of Directors for the final selection


Requirement (or non-requirement) of Wet Signatures

A few members have expressed confusion over the requirement (or non-requirement) of Wet Signatures on plans, specifications, instruments of service, etc. The state of California does not require them. For further proof of that, check out the letter current President, Michael Malinowski, AIA received from the California Architects Board:
