2019 California Building Code [CBC] Access Compliance Seminar

This one-day course highlights significant changes to access regulations in the 2019 Triennial Edition of the California Building Code (CBC), Chapter 11B. The triennial code will be printed on July 15 and become effective on January 1, 2020. The code change proposals currently under development by the Division of the State Architect will also be presented.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand how to analyze and apply the 2019 CBC provisions.
  • Understand the difference between the 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act Standards for Accessible Design and the 2019 CBC.
  • Be informed of the amendments to the 2019 CBC Triennial Edition of the California Building Code approved in the 2018 rulemaking cycle.
  • Be informed of the code change proposals for the 2019 rulemaking cycle under development by the Division of the State Architect and how you can participate in the process
