Allied Members are not Architects, but are professionals in related fields, who collaborate with and support Architects in the creation of the built environment.

Volunteer to make a difference!

Along with the Board of Directors and Staff, many of the Chapter’s advocacy efforts, educational programs, special events, and major initiatives are generated and cultivated via our numerous committees. Participation on a committee is one of the most direct ways to become familiar with how the Chapter operates and to directly influence the local architecture and design community. Committee management roles also help to train members for future board leadership positions. Both members and non-members are welcome to participate on committees.

We’d love to find a way for you to be involved!  Don’t see a committee you’re interested in?  Let us know what you’re interested and we can explore something new in order to fit your interests.  Some of the most common AIA committees in other AIA Chapters include:

Academy of Emerging Professionals; Advocacy; Architecture for Education, Health, Justice; Awards Committee; Building Codes; Building Enclosure Council; Committee on the Environment (COTE); Design for Aging; Fellows; Finance; Historic Resources & Preservation; Interior Architecture; Long Range Planning; Marketing & Communications; Membership; Practice (Domestic & International); Procedures and Documents; Professional Practice; Technology; Technology in Architectural Practice (TAP); Tours; Urban Design; Women in Architecture.
